In line with our Key Accounts growth agenda, we wish to enhance our Sales team by hiring for the position of Assistant Key Accounts Manager.
Job Purpose
The position is responsible for effective management and development of business relationships with key customer accounts (supermarket chains), whilst focusing on maximizing the performance, profitability, sales value and volume of company brands within Kenya.
This position reports to the Senior Key Accounts Manager.

Job Purpose
The position is responsible for effective management and development of business relationships with key customer accounts (supermarket chains), whilst focusing on maximizing the performance, profitability, sales value and volume of company brands within Kenya.
This position reports to the Senior Key Accounts Manager.
Principal Accountabilities
- Execute joint customer plans for respective accounts that form a basis for mutual collaboration toward partnership growth.
- Managing Relationships to grow the business.
- Maintain and grow existing volume and distribution by taking direct responsibility for customer relationships and leveraging contacts, thus building positive, credible & long term relationships with On-Premise customers especially at branch levels.
- Execute share of shelf and to ensure we have distribution, stock weight and visibility in the outlets in the assigned area.
- Collect payments and ensure debt levels do not run into bad debts.
- Exceptional execution of Sales Drivers (Price, Promotion, Visibility, Quality, Distribution, Persuasion) through application of customer/consumer insights.
- Report implementation of all activity though appropriate processes & systems and monitors compliance.
- Suggest activities that will grow accounts.
Knowledge,
Skills & Experience
- Bachelors’ degree in Sales & Marketing or equivalent with at least five (2) years experience in FMCG sales.
- Ability to assess competitor data, activity and recommending counter approaches.
- Ability to influence orders and negotiate for space in branches.
- Ability to execute promotions in time and fully.
- Good Negotiation and communication skills.

- Potential to demonstrate our Global Competencies of Creating the Future, Working Together, being Adaptable, and Pursuing Success within the first six months of employment
