The
Equity Group Foundation was established in 2006 in recognition of the need to
scale up the existing corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives of the
Equity Bank Group.
The Foundation acts as the institutional home for the Group’s social initiatives and interventions.
The Foundation’s aim is to catalyze the socio-economic prosperity of the people of Africa by giving opportunity to the millions at the bottom of the pyramid to be incorporated into the modern economy.
Having demonstrated scal.ability, impact and high return on investment, the Foundation has started attracting organizations and development partners who wish to do good to society without duplicating and/or investing in infrastructure. This is by leveraging on the Equity Bank Group’s infrastructure.
The Foundation recognizes the diverse nature of the socio-economic needs of the people of Africa and has identified six program areas on which it lays its emphasis.
These are: Education and leadership development, agriculture, entrepreneurship, health, innovation and environmental sustainability.
These program areas support the Foundation in realizing its vision and mission.

Mission: We champion the transformation of lives and livelihoods through development and implementation of innovative programs that leverage existing infrastructure and link partners to the bottom of the pyramid.
1. Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
The Position
The Role holder will be responsible for the designing, planning and supervising the implementation of monitoring and evaluation activities that measure the overall performance of Education & Leadership, Financial. Literacy and Entrepreneurship programs against set objectives.
He/She will assist project staff and partners in data collection, analysis and presentation including leading the design and operationalization of systems and tools.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that relevant quality data and surveys are collected timely from all stakeholders and consolidated for reporting
- Monitor data quality and conduct regular analysis of data as per the program requirements
- Regularly review and improve the M&E system by seeking stakeholder inputs and through consultations with practitioners in other organizations.
- Conduct regular monitoring visits
- Administer the programme database
- Work with programme staff to ensure that the programme planning including inputs and targets is driven by the theory of change and the M&E Plan particularly outcome and impact indicators.
- Identify trends and variances in the program and advise relevant program staff
- Develop, refine and manage the process for regular reporting on findings and coordinate with appropriate departments for the dissemination of information.
- Manage day-to-day operations of the M&E system, including support of staff and stakeholders
- Foster and coordinate partnerships for independent external assessments to attain good quality, third-party evaluation studies when appropriate.
- Keep abreast of the latest developments in M&E and network with other organizations for best practices and technical assistance.
Candidate’s
Qualifications, Knowledge and experience
- A Bachelors degree, those with a masters degree have an added advantage
- Three years experience in M&E particularly in a USAID funded project
- Experience in developing and utilizing monitoring and evaluation systems in the education sector.
- Database administration preferably Education Management Information Systems

The role holder will be responsible for the leadership model under the University Sponsorship Program.

- Fine-tune and implement the Equity leadership model within the context of the University Sponsorship Program
- Develop career-specific initiatives which will help scholars broaden their horizons and excel in their respective areas of professional/career interest
- Run an innovation and entrepreneurship program that will include incubation support to scholars
- Foster the creation of a vibrant, creative community of program scholars and utilize the network for social transformation
- Develop and implement additional educational, personal and career development programs for gifted youth
Candidates
Qualifications, Knowledge and experience
- Bachelors Degree
- Outstanding academic achievement,
- Demonstrated leadership preferably in an entrepreneurial setting
- 2 years working experience
- Below the age of 35
