Position: The Sales and Marketing
Advisor (Full time Job)
Reports to: The Director of Finance and Internal Resources Management
Contract duration: one year with renewal possibility

Background
ORINFOR (Rwanda Information Office) is a Government institution dealing with media services.
The organization owns Rwanda Television, Radio Rwanda, 5 community radios of Musanze, Rubavu, Huye, Rusizi and Nyagatare, Kinyarwanda daily paper called “Imvaho nshya”, bi-weekly French newspaper called “La nouvelle Releve” and online media aimed at being a key source of information, educational and entertaining content for Rwandans at home and abroad.
ORINFOR would like to hire a Sales and Marketing Advisor to strengthen capacity of the finance and internal resources management Unit and mentor staff of the marketing section to better perform their work.
Main responsibilities of the sales and marketing advisor
The Sales and Marketing Advisor will be reporting to the Director of Finance and Internal Resources Management, and he/she will be responsible to advise the Director of Unit, for the general performance of the marketing section.
The successful candidate will be expected to provide support to the Director of unit in setting up a marketing plan which will enable the organization to finance its operational budget, maximize the local market share and expand the organization market in the east African community.
The Sales and Marketing Advisor will be responsible for driving business and meeting the set targets in regards to channel expansion, market share and overall business in the allocated territories and market segments, by managing the trade channel that include newspaper distributors and key accounts in accordance to the organization’s objectives, strategic/marketing plans and vision.
The Sales and Marketing Advisor will be responsible to develop mid and long term marketing plans for the organization to sustain itself.
The candidate will be required to generate income with the use of 24 hours airtime on Rwanda Television, Radio Rwanda and 5 other community radios and online services
The Sales and Marketing Advisor, will be required to set up circulation channel of ORINFOR’s newspapers on Rwandan territory and in the region (Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya, Burundi and DRC)
The sales and marketing advisor shall be responsible to design marketing and sales strategies for the organization and develop a market penetration plans
He or She will produce monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets

Profile Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or its equivalent, an MBA degree in marketing will be an added advantage
- He/ She must possess a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Sales and Marketing with a Leadership position in FMCG Business (First Moving Consumer Goods)
- Managerial level with a reputable regional media house with at least 3 years in sales and/or operational management.
- He/ She must have been responsible for sales and marketing of media services especially television, Radio and written press
- Excellent performance and verifiable track records
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written and collaborative management style
- Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing sales team and major projects or initiatives.
- Experience in managing cross-cultural business will be an added advantage
