Its mission is to help entrepreneurial men and women break the cycle of poverty by building businesses that create jobs, income, and economic opportunities for their families, their communities, and their countries.
A Senior Business Advisor is being recruited to provide management support and oversee implementation of Project Nurture development activities.
Project Nurture was launched in 2010 with the key objective of helping smallholder fruit farmers double their incomes.
The 4 year initiative is currently being implemented in Kenya and Uganda in partnership with the Coca-Cola International to help farmers improve productivity, establish farmer-owned enterprises and create market linkages with identified processors and juice producers supplying local and regional markets with a view to demonstrating the potential for expansion to global exports in the future.
Position Description
The Senior Business Advisor will be responsible for implementation of Project Nurture’s initiative in the Central and Eastern Region of Kenya.
The Senior Business Advisor will work closely with Business Advisors, PBGs, local stakeholders, and sub-contractors, as well as respective management team.
S/he will be responsible for timely and effective implementation of project activities and achievement of a portion of the project’s goal.
S/he will be responsible for project planning and oversight, quality implementation, supervision of Business Advisors, and monitoring and evaluation of project effectiveness.

Minimum Requirements
- Degree qualifications in Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Business Management or business related studies required;
- Strong project management and financial analysis skills;
- Minimum of five years field and technical experience with agribusiness development, or entrepreneurship in Kenya is required;
- Experience working with farmer group/market linkage programs preferred;
- Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills a must;
- Ability to develop well-written, cohesive analyses and reports;
- Track record of building strong client and stakeholder relationships;
- Ability to generate innovative solutions in work situations;
- Proven ability and experience working with and managing teams is essential;
