The
Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission was established by the
Constitution of Kenya with the mandate of among others; conducting voter
education, delimitation of constituencies and wards, registration of voters,
registration of candidates for elections, conduct and supervise elections and
referenda and facilitation of the observation, monitoring and evaluation of
elections.
Pursuant to the mandate of conducting voter education, IEBC requires well designed posters that will capture any of the following themes:
i) Youth Participation in elections
ii) Peaceful electioneering and voting
iii) Acceptance of election results
iv) Individual responsibility for participation in elections
v) Women Participation in election
vi) Come out and Vote
IEBC calls upon creative and artistic Kenyans to submit posters on the above six themes.
The following guidelines, rules and regulations shall apply:

The following guidelines, rules and regulations shall apply:
- The poster should be in black and white and also in high resolution colour.
- Each Poster should be submitted in 6 hard copies on A3 orA4 size paper and a soft copy in PDF, JPEG or TIFF in a windows readable CD
- The submission must be original and not copied from any other published sources including books, magazines or newspapers
- The poster should have a tagline in Kiswahili or English that provides instant information.
- Entrants must give a brief explanation (Max 300 words) of their inspiration for the poster
- Each entrant should provide his/her name, postal address, email and Telephone number
- The decision of IEBC judges shall be final and shall not be open to any appeals whatsoever
- Any materials, graphic software or other items prepared by an entrant shall belong and shall remain the property of IEBC
- One can compete in more than one theme. School and College students are encouraged to participate Winners will receive a cash prize and will have the opportunity to present their work to IEBC Commissioners
