A USAID contractor is recruiting the following Kenyan Vacancies for an ongoing project focused on civic education, citizen engagement
and community strengthening:
Grants Assistant: The grants assistant will be based in Nairobi and will assist in activities focused on youth empowerment in Eastleigh and surroundings.
All candidates must speak and write fluent Somali, Swahili and English. Experience working directly with youth at the grassroots level is required.
Candidates must have a solid understanding of Somali culture and customs, and must possess at least one year relevant experience in the administration of USAID or other donor-funded programs in East Africa, preferably in Kenya.
Finance Assistant: Based in either Eldoret or Kericho. Requires at least two years relevant experience in finance, accounting and/or bookkeeping, and must have experience working with USAID or other donor-funded programs in Kenya. Must be a Certified Public Accountant II.
Procurement Assistant: Based in Eldoret. Requires at least two years relevant experience in administration, procurement and/or logistics for USAID or other donor-funded programs in Kenya, preferably in and around Eldoret and/or Kericho.
Procurement Specialist: Various locations. Requires at least two years of relevant experience in procurement, including experience working with USAID or other donor-funded programs in East Africa, preferably Kenya. Bachelor's degree in relevant field required, additional coursework focused on procurement and logistics preferred.
All candidates must possess demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications including Microsoft Word and Excel.
