Position: Commercial Analyst - Mombasa

Reporting To: Financial Controller

Company Profile: One of the largest manufacturers of high quality edible vegetable oils & fats, margarine, and laundry & toilet soaps in the East and Central African region

Job Purpose:

Management of accounts receivables to ensure timely collection of all monies receivable, manage credit risk exposure and analysis of marketing and promotions activities to ensure value for money for all advertising, promotions and marketing activities

Principle Accountabilities:

• Weekly/Monthly forecasting of accounts receivable and ensuring that the same is collected on time
• Daily monitoring of sales operations to ensure operation is within the approved credit policy and limits
• Daily monitoring of sales invoice processing to ensure accuracy of accounting for the same
• Perform pre and post A&P evaluation/analysis to measure effectiveness of market spent
• Work closely with marketing teams to ensure all marketing programs are performed on time and on budget
• Drive sales and marketing budgeting, forecasting and budgetary control
• Prepare monthly sales Vs target performance reports by country & region
• Work closely with Factory Accountant and Business Performance analyst to measure and report on SKU profitability and recommend profit maximizing brand portfolio

Qualifications & Experience:

• A degree in Business related studies
• Fully qualified accountant – CPA(K)/ACCA
• At least five years experience, three of which must be in financial analysis evaluation in a busy organization
• Sound knowledge of budgeting, budgetary control and forecasting especially in marketing related activities
• Those with experience in evaluation and analysis of marketing activities will have an added advantage
• Hands on experience in an ERP environment
• Highly energetic, eager to learn and with special attention to detail
