1) Roads Engineer

Reporting to the Civil Engineer, the successful applicant’s main duties will be:

Reporting to the Civil Engineer, the successful applicant’s main duties will be:
- To supervise overall asphalt road construction at the 10,000 hectares tropical sugar estate (currently murram roads).
- Developing appropriate drainage system.
- Budgeting and drawing bills of quantities for specific tasks.
- Ensuring that the available labour force is efficiently deployed to accomplish tasks.
Qualifications
and Experience:
- A Diploma in Civil Engineering with 5 years experience in supervising of laying asphalt on road using automatic paver, rollers and other road equipment.
- Basic knowledge of preventive maintenance of the road machinery is essential.
2) Roller Operator

Reporting to Civil Engineer/Project Manager – Construction, the successful applicant’s main duties will be:

Reporting to Civil Engineer/Project Manager – Construction, the successful applicant’s main duties will be:
- Operating the plant and ensuring that the required compaction is achieved.
- Checking the state of the paint and carrying out routine maintenance with assistance of technical staff.
- Reporting any fault on the plant to the immediate superior for rectification.
- Enforcing the company’s Safety, Health and Environmental Policy and Regulations
Qualifications
and Experience:
- A valid driving licence for heavy commercial vehicles/plant machinery.
- Basic knowledge of preventive maintenance of the plant is essential
- Three years relevant work experience.
3) Operator Asphalt Spot Mixer Plant

Reporting to Civil Engineer/Project Manager – Construction, the successful applicant’s main duties will be:

Reporting to Civil Engineer/Project Manager – Construction, the successful applicant’s main duties will be:
- Operating the Parker 600MK3 plant to produce asphalt.
- Carrying out daily routine maintenance on the plant
- Ensuring that there is adequate supply of aggregates, bitumen, diesel and gas for the smooth running of the plant
- Cleaning the plant thoroughly immediately after completion of work
- Keeping securely the tools and equipment used by the road-works team
Qualifications
and Experience:
- Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE)
- Two year’s relevant work experience.
Remuneration:Attractive
