Nature
of Work
- Set up, operate and maintain equipment that regulate the signal strength, the clarity and ranges of sound and colors of radio broadcast.
- The technician should be able to control the panels to select the source of materials.
- Should be able to switch from filming to live programming.
- Sound engineering technicians should operate machines & equipment record, synchronize, mix or reproduces music, voices or sound effects in the recording studio.
- The engineer should be able to operate transmitters, set up, adjust, service and repair electronic broadcast equipment.
- Should be able to operate portable transmission equipment outside the studio
Duties
- To maintain broadcast automation systems for the studio and automatic transmission system for the transmission plant.
- To maintain radio towers, This must be maintained with proper lighting & painting,
- To deal with complains of R.F interference particularly after the station has made changes to the transmission facilities
Qualifications
- Degree in .Telecommunication Engineering or Degree in Electronic Engineering or Degree in Broadcast technology.
Knowledge
- Conventional broadcast
- Broadcast IT.
- Radio Frequency
