Bamburi Cement Limited is the largest cement manufacturing company in the Kenya and it's Mombasa plant is the second largest cement plant in sub-Saharan Africa. 

Bamburi Cement - Mombasa plant is to recruit a 

Mechanical Planner
 

Reporting to the Methods Engineer, the role will apply mechanical skills to develop accurate job plans and provide maintenance solutions. 

Key responsibilities will include:

• Plan and co-ordinate all plant maintenance shutdowns as well as daily maintenances works  for the plant.
• Prepare detailed scopes and bill quantities for maintenance and contractual works.
• Validate and prioritize maintenance work requests to ensure continued plant operations
• Ensure availability of job plans within specified sections.

Suitable candidates will have:

• Higher Diploma in – Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronic Engineering
• 2 years experience in planning/scheduling of repair and maintenance of heavy industrial / petro-chemical / chemical plants
• Microsoft office proficiency and Auto Cad
• An ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings
• Good supervisory skills
• Project Management is an added advantage
• Ability to deliver on targets with minimum supervision
