situated in Western Kenya along Awasi - Nandi Hills road (About 55km from
Kisumu).
We seek for suitable qualified and experienced Kenyan citizens who are dynamic, self motivated and results oriented candidates for the following positions.
Head of Finance
Reporting to: Managing Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop
and install effective financial management systems and procedures.
- Provide
professional leadership and technical guidance in identifying and
evaluating organizational risk factors.
- Plan
and coordinate the timely preparation of annual work plans and budget
estimates that achieves desired targets.
- Coordinate
banking services, reconciliation of ledger accounts; and custody of funds,
securities and financial instruments.
- Review
procurement process to ensure that the Company gets value for money
through competitive bidding process, delivery of quality goods and
services
- Establish
stringent expenditure control procedures by adhering to best practice.
- Analyse
financial information detailing assets, liabilities, capital and projected
financial position for implementation of planned activities.
- Develop
and implement computerised financial information systems that enhance
record keeping and asset management.
- Monitor
and track the utilisation of capital and operational expenditure against
approved plans.
- Interpret
financial reports, statements, accounting records and advice the Chief
Executive accordingly.
- Coordinate
the preparation of tax returns to ensure compliance.
- Review
analysis of on-going programmes in order to determine progress towards
stated goals and objectives and take immediate action for any deviations.
- Enhance
the production of quality and timely accounting reports through improved
accounting systems and procedures.
- Conduct
training needs assessment for staff in order to improve quality services.
- Appraise
and evaluate the performance of staff against set departmental targets and
objectives.
- Attend
HOD meetings and Chair Departmental meetings.
Minimum
Qualifications
- Masters
degree or its equivalent.
- Full
Professional qualifications such as CPA (K), ACCA, and membership to
relevant professional body.
- Minimum
seven (7) years experience, five (5) of which must be in senior management
position in a large finance department.
Head of Marketing
Reporting to: Managing Director
Key Responsibilities
- Design,
implement, and facilitate annual marketing plan for the Company. Support
and facilitate development and implementation of the same.
- Plan
and administer the Company’s Marketing and corporate function Operations
budget;
- Promote
the sales and marketing of the company’s products and services that will
most benefit the customers, and to establish creditability through
communication in a manner that will optimize the company’s market share
and bottom line
- Initiate
and review marketing activities that incorporate company-wide support,
which include market share report, sales analysis and strategy review
reports, sales promotional efforts and upcoming promotional plan
- Managing
the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical
activities.
- Specifying
market requirements for current and future products by conducting market
research supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers.
- Develop
and implement a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all
departments to execute.
- Maintain
direct contact with the company stakeholders, leaders, and the public for
understanding and goodwill, confidence building and public opinion
influencing
- Engage
media representatives, through release of information for public
consumption, review of supplements and advertising.
- Coordinate
the publication of all internal publications.
- Organise
Company major corporate events
- Coordinate
participation at ASK shows and organize for press supplements and coverage
of these functions.
- Coordinate
company’s philanthropic activities in line with the company’s social
responsibility policy
- Coordinate
all external facility visits to the Company
- Provide
relevant and accurate marketing information on Chemelil Sugar Company
products and services to external parties and for strategy formulation
- Prepare
monthly progress reports showing achievements of the Marketing
Communication function
Minimum
Qualifications
- Masters
Degree in Marketing/Business administration
- Membership
to a relevant Professional body like the Marketing Society of Kenya or
Chartered Institute of Marketing, PRSK
- Minimum
five (5) years relevant experience in a reputable organization
