Professors-Grade 15

Applicants are invited for post of Professor in any of the following areas:

• Accounting & Finance
• Business Management
• Economics
• Animal Science
• Applied Mathematics
• Pure Mathematics
• Statistics
• Physics
• Botany/ Zoology/ Biochemistry
• Chemistry
• Civil Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering

Applicant must have:

• PhD plus at least three years of teaching at University as Associate Professor
• The candidate must have published six papers in refereed journals or at least three University level books in the applicant’s area of specialization since last appointment as Associate Professor.
• Supervised postgraduate students.
• Demonstrated good leadership ability.
• Proven ability to attract research funding.
• Must be actively affiliated to an appropriate professional body.
• Further the candidate will be subjected to academic peer review.

Associate  Professors-Grade 14

Applicants are invited for post of Associate Professor in any of the following areas:

Applicants must be holders of a PhD degree in the relevant area from a recognized university. In addition, the applicant must:-

• Have at least eight (8) years of University teaching, four (4) of which as a full-time Senior Lecturer.
• Have successfully supervised at least four (4) Masters students or two (2) PhD students since being appointed Senior Lecturer.
• Show evidence of continuing research including having published at least four (4) articles in refereed journals since being appointed Senior Lecturer.
• Show evidence of attendance and contribution at learned Conferences, Seminars or workshops.
• Evidence of winning grants either individually or as a group since being appointed as a Senior Lecturer.

Senior Lecturers-Grade 13

Applicants are invited for post of Senior Lecturer in any of the following areas:-

• Accounting & Finance

Applicants must be holders of a PhD degree in the relevant area from a recognized University. In addition, the applicant must:

• Have at least five (5) years of University teaching, three (3) of which as a full time Lecturer after PhD qualification.
• Have successfully supervised at least three (3) Masters Students or one (1) PhD student since being appointed Lecturer.
• Show evidence of continued research including having published at least three (3) articles in refereed journals since being appointed Lecturer.
• Show evidence of attendance and contribution at learned conferences, seminars or workshops.
• Evidence of winning grants either individually or as a group since being appointed as a Lecturer.

Lecturers- Grade 12

Applicants are invited for post of Lecturer in any of the following areas:

Applicants must be holders of a PhD degree in the relevant area from a recognized University. In addition, the applicant must:

• Have a full-time University teaching experience as a tutorial fellow or assistant lecturer for at least three (3) years.
• Have published at least two (2) papers in a refereed journal.
• Show evidence of attendance and contribution at learned conferences, seminars or workshops.

Assistant Lecturers -Grade 11

Applicants are invited for post of Assistant Lecturer in any of the following areas:

• Accounting & Finance 
• Business Management
• Economics
• Animal Science
• Applied Mathematics
• Engineering
• Information Technology
• Statistics

Applicants must be holders of a Masters degree in the relevant field from a recognized University. In addition, the applicant must:

• Have at least two (2) years teaching experience in a recognized University/ Tertiary college.
• Be registered for a PhD degree in the area of specialization.

Senior Assistant Internal Auditor – Grade 10

Applicants are invited for post of Senior Assistant Internal Auditor and must be holders of:

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Accounts Option), Finance or any other relevant field of study.
• Possession of CPA (K) or ACCA.
• A minimum of five years experience in Auditing of public institutions of University setting.
• The ideal candidate must have excellent knowledge of the current auditing standards and practices.
• Must be able to handle confidential and sensitive information, have excellent analytical and report writing skills.
• Highly motivated with proven ability to work with minimal or no supervision, able to exercise sound judgment, pay attention to detail and a team player.

Assistant Internal Auditor – Grade 7

Applicants are invited for post of Assistant Internal Auditor and must be holders of: 

• CPA part III or its equivalent
• At least 3 years experience in a busy audit department of University setting
• Experience with computer system
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal and report writing skills.
• The ideal candidate must have excellent knowledge of the current auditing standards and practices.

Procurement Assistant – Grade 8

  Applicants are invited for post of Procurement Assistant and must be holders of:

• Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing and Supplies Management from a recognized institution, or a bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Economics, plus a Diploma in Purchasing and Supplies Management.
• Familiarity with the Public Procurement and Disposals Act, 2005.
• Experience of 4 years and above in a related field in a busy working environment.

Student Counselor – Grade 11

Applicants are invited for post of Student Counselor and must be holders of:

• At least a Masters degree in Counselling Psychology or equivalent.
• Those with a relevant first degree and at least five (5) years post-qualification related work experience at a University setting or other public institutions will also be considered.
• Applicants with training or education background and experience in designing and conducting training programs for the holistic development of youth will have an added advantage.
• Excellent guiding, counseling and problem-solving skills.
• Applicants are expected to be computer literate with good written, and oral communication and interpersonal communication among others.
