DHL Exel Supply Chain (K) Ltd an international supply chain company invites applications from suitably qualified and interested candidates for the following posts.

Truck Technician
 

The successful candidate for this position will be responsible to the Workshop Supervisor, for all aspects of the role which include the following:

• To effectively maintain workshop operations by servicing & inspecting DHL trucks.
• Repair truck mechanical & electrical systems malfunctions.
• Careful use of workshop equipment and machinery while on duty.
• Use of diagnostic equipment as an aid to locating vehicle defects.
• Maintain vehicle records by accurately recording parts issued and time taken to do so.
• Attend to truck breakdowns off-site and liaise with management on issues as they arise during the breakdowns.
• Adherence to all Health and Safety regulations.

Trailer Technician
 

The successful candidate for this position will be responsible to the Workshop Supervisor, for all aspects of the role including the following:

• To effectively maintain workshop operations by servicing & inspecting DHL trailers.
• Repair trailer mechanical & electrical system malfunctions.
• Ensure careful use of workshop equipment and machinery while on duty.
• Maintain trailer records by accurately recording parts issued and time taken to do so.
• Attend to trailer breakdowns off-site and liaise with management on issues as they arise during the breakdowns.
• Adherence to all Health and Safety regulations.

Ideal candidates for the above positions should have the following qualifications:

• Diploma in Automotive Engineering or Craft Certificate or Government Trade Test Grade 1.
• Minimum 3 years hands on experience in a busy logistics environment.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication skill and ability to work in a team.
• Previous experience in driving Heavy Goods Vehicles will be an added advantage.
