Position: Project Finance Officer (Accountant)
CHAK, a national network
of Protestant Churches’ health facilities and programs in Kenya, is
seeking to recruit a Project Finance Officer (Accountant) to join the
Finance Department team.
Key responsibilities
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for;
- Maintenance of Books of Accounts
- Support preparation of budgets and financial transactions
- Ensuring compliance with Donor Partner financial requirements and regulations
- Review monthly financial reports from sub-grantees to ensure compliance with budget and donor regulations
- Support preparation of project financial reports for Partners and Management
- Facilitate financial capacity building for implementing health facilities
Qualifications and experience
- Good oral and written communication skills with ability to work in a team environment
- Good interpersonal skills, self-motivated and willingness to work long hours
- Computer literate with working knowledge of Excel, and various Accounting Packages
- Must be willing to travel extensively within Kenya
Minimum Education and Professional requirement
- A minimum of graduate degree in Commerce, Economics or Business Administration
- A certified public accountant (CPA- K)
- At least two years relevant post qualification experience.
