GH is dedicated to investing in adolescent girls as the most powerful force for change in the developing world: the Girl Effect.
The Girl Effect has proven effective at the local level in a variety of ways, and has gained momentum both with girls in the regions where we work and internationally via attracting critical partners.
Overview:
The Associate Monitoring, Learning and Results Mangeris responsible for supporting multiple Girl Hub monitoring and evaluation initiatives, as well as liaising with government partners and managing research institutions.
Key duties and responsibilities:

- Ensure high quality monitoring and evaluation of all Girl Hub Rwanda interventions, paying particular attention to segmenting the adolescent girl population to assess the results for different groups of girls (particularly the most vulnerable)
- Ensure that Girl Hub Rwanda collects the evidence required in order to 1) measure progress against the log frame; and 2) support the evidence for the Girl Effect
- Support the development of process documentation; ensure Girl Hub Rwanda records the process of innovation and its learning in respect to each of its initiatives
- Maintain a good database of results (qualitative and quantitative) and ensure that these are accessible to the Girl Hub and Nike Foundation teams
- Coordinate the quarterly Qualitative Assessment Scorecard (QAS) for Girl Hub Rwanda
- Build Girl Hub’s links with research and knowledge organizations in Rwanda and the government ministries and statistics office, to ensure Girl Hub has credible and up to date knowledge of the situation of girls in Rwanda.
- Invest time in understanding and further developing the Sense Maker and attitudinal survey research methods with input from international consultants.
- Support the design and implementation of Girl Hub Rwanda research.
- Ensure that Girl Hub’s research findings and learning are disseminated to other parties.
- Support the training of the Girl Research Unit for Girl Hub Rwanda
- Work closely with Girl Hub Rwanda Insights team to ensure shared planning and learning
- Work closely with DFID Rwanda to gather evidence for influencing and supporting policy makers on girls
Essential skills and experience:
- Master’s degree in evaluation, international development, or related field.
- At least five years of experience in monitoring and evaluation.
- Proven experience in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies. Familiarity with GIS a plus.
- Experience building capacity on girl-centred monitoring and evaluation

- Excellent communication skills, including exemplary written English and knowledge of written and spoken Kinyarwanda is a must.
