SunnyMoney is an innovative, fast-growing, social enterprise, owned by the charity SolarAid, which sells pico-solar lights across Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania and Zambia. Our aim is to enable the world’s poorest people to have access to clean, renewable power.
We do this by selling solar lights to rural households and building a vibrant solar market. Our overarching goal in Kenya is to eradicate the use of kerosene and candles for lighting and help create a genuine solar lighting market.

- Ensuring the correct product numbers are brought to the collection day
- Ensuring the room in which products and money are exchanged is safe and secure
- Setting up an organised room layout and system to ensure smooth transactions with head teacher.
- Ensuring head teachers are provided with correct product numbers (which they must sign for)
- Ensuring all order forms are submitted, receipts are provided to teachers for payment of products and headmasters sign for receipt of products
- All payments and product orders for the day are reconciled
- Depositing cash in SunnyMoney bank account on the same day
- Complete and send (phone confirmations to finance team each day; email weekly reports) sales report to finance team, management and call centre
- Drive achievement of monthly set targets.
- Work closely with the Project Manager, through distribution channels and management of the same to meet set targets at all times.
- Establish good public relations both internally and externally and particularly with collaborative programmes and partners.
- Delivery platform presentation and publication.
- Assists to identify the opportunities for upcoming SunnyMoney range of products.
- Reporting and communications
The Field Officer will be directly supervised by the Field Supervisor. The Field Officer will also work

Work Experience/Competencies essential for this position:
- Educated to diploma / degree level.
- Computer literate. Excellent Word and Excel skills
- Work Experience-3 Years
- Superior customer service skills and ability to maintain positive working relationships
- Solid organizational skills and strong work ethics.
- Great attention to details and confident in talking to people
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to manage, process and data input
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
- Must be highly motivated and committed to achieving results
- Ability to work under little supervision while meeting deliverables
- Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently
- Excellent communication skills; written and verbal.
- Must be willing to work in a diverse, dynamic environment and want to be part of a super-skilled and fun team.
