Suraya Property Group Limited, one of the leading and fast growing real estate development companies in Kenya is undertaking and plans to undertake major development projects ranging from master planning, scheme design, detail design, supervision, services designs and other construction related activities in projects spread in a number of counties and cities in Kenya.

Quantity Surveyors

Candidates for this role must be a team player and should meet the following criteria:

• Qualified to degree level / equivalent or compensating experience
• Must have experience of working with contractors and subcontractors
• Must have experience in Civil engineering and Highways
• Must be an experienced Quantity Surveyor with good contract knowledge of JBC
• Should have a reasonably stable employment background
• IT Literate, particularly MS Word and MS Excel
• Must be a registered Engineer
• Minimum 10 years experience.

As Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for:

• Be able to develop contract documents and managing contractual arrangements
• Project progress evaluation for payment to contractors 
• Initiate invoicing
• Negotiate costs and control budgets once the budget is developed
• Resolve commercial / contractual disputes
• Produce regular financial appraisals

You will be based most of the time in the head office however may be required to go onto site to check works you are pricing among other duties.
