Oserian Development Company Ltd is one of Kenya’s leading growers and exporters of fresh cut-flowers. 

We are seeking to recruit young, energetic, results oriented and qualified rose growers of unquestionable integrity to join our team and share our progressive approach to business.
 

Based at our farm in Naivasha, one of the farm production positions we are recruiting for are Senior Rose Growers who will be responsible for general planning of their respective Rose farm units in order to achieve set productivity and efficiency levels.

Responsibilities will include:-

• consult with the Head of Production or equivalent on local-external orders for approval to go ahead with production.
• translate departmental plans into workable sectional plans.
• communicating with internal and external clients and manage modalities of production and for deliveries.
• manage production process and deliver modalities.
• meet set production budget.
• forecast crops within defined tolerance level.
• controlling expenditure to maintain it within set budget.
• assist in selection of roses.
• identify new and improve operating systems so as to maximize production reduce cost.

The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong understanding of Rose production management, with excellent communication and presentation skills and shall have the following minimum qualifications:-

• Hold a degree in Agriculture or Horticulture from reputable University with minimum 10 years progressively relevant experience gained working as a Rose manager.
• Excellent analytical and managerial skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
• Highly effective planning and organizational skills with a positive attitude.
