Business Development Executive - Government & County Business

Our client is one of the leading Security Solutions provider for a wide host of clients in diverse industries offering manned guarding, K-9 guarding, investigations, VIP protection, Fire Services and Cash-in-transit. 

They seek to hire a Business Development Executive to target Government & County Business. 

Applicants with networks and contacts with Government preferred
Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Conduct Market surveys and research for existing and new business.
  • Present and sell company products and services to current and potential clients.
  • Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be made.
  • Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.
  • Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned.
  • Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts
  • Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge.
  • Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships.
  • Prepare paperwork to activate and maintain contract services.
  • Manage account services through quality checks and other follow-up.
  • Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up and adherence to goals.
  • Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff.
  • Coordinate company staff to accomplish the work required to close sales.
  • Develop and implement special sales activities to reduce stock.
  • Identify and resolve client concerns, customer care.
  • Follow up on all service contracts with the clients.
  • Log complaint into the system and ensure they are resolved in a timely and effective manner.
  • Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing events
  • Follow-up for collection of payment
  • Provide on-job-training to new sales employees
  • During Client visits generate cross/up sell leads.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business
  • Four to five or more years of business development and sales experience
  • Go getter who does not get stopped.
  • Great ability to negotiate
  • Significant experience especially dealing with Government/ Institutions and Counties
  • Great rapport skills to inspire trust and willingness
  • Proficiency with a variety of computer software applications 
  • Presentation Skills; Client Relationships; Emphasizing Excellence; High Energy Levels
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • Should be a team player
