County Government of Kisumu
Appointment of Members of Kisumu County Audit Committee
The County Government of Kisumu in pursuant to Section 155(5) of PFM Act 2012 requires the services of Men and Women of integrity to fill up the positions of Audit Committee Members.
Qualification
- Must be a holder of at least Master’s Degree in a relevant field
- Must be knowledgeable in government affairs, have the requisite business and leadership skills and shall not be a holder of a political office.
- Must not be past or present employee of the entity or an agent of a business organization, which has carried out business with the County Government of Kisumu in the past 2 years
- Must be affiliate to professional bodies e.g. ICPAK, ACFE, LSK, EBK and IIA or any other relevant body
- Must possess good understanding of Government operations, financial reporting and auditing
- Must possess good knowledge of objects, principles or functions of County government
Responsibilities
- Provide oversight on risk management, controls and governance processes
- Follow up on implementation of recommendation of internal and external audit
Terms of Appointment
- Members of audit committee shall be appointed, for a term of two years and shall be eligible for re-appointment for a further one term only
- After expiry of every term at least one third of the committee shall retire and not be eligible for reappointment
