Job Title: Supply Chain Manager
Reports to: Country Manager
Job Purpose: The job holder will ensure development of effective and efficient Supply Chain operations to achieve business objectives.
- Implement Supply Chain Strategies Best Practices;
- Ensure effective and efficient supply in line with legal regulations:
- Monitor and manage the demand and supply planning processes to produce accurate demand plans and efficient supply plans to achieve customer service level target and minimize distribution costs;
- Implement Inter Market Supply Planning best practices and system;
- Coordinate Supply Chain aspects of Inter-market supply process (Product Briefs, IMS Partnership
- agreements, Transport trials, Pricing) for both import and export when applicable;
- Establish and ensure collaborative and efficient relationship with Sales, Marketing, Technical and Finance;
- Optimize working capital and ensure fresh stock;
- Ensure optimum processing of orders and invoices;
- Manage 3rd party and ensure that organisations standards are applied;
- Ensure legal compliance of products imported into Kenya;
- Build relationship with local authorities to facilitate business operation;
- Use KPI reports to put action plans for improvement whenever/wherever needed.
- Monitor and report infiltrations/ exfiltrations within the cluster;
- Liaison with distributors for Demand Forecast commitment and constant review;
- Ensure maximum utilization of government incentive on Exports (TREO) as well as maximise opportunities for preferential trade blocks such as COMESA to ensure market competitiveness;
- Lead and develop the Supply Chain Team.
Requirements
- Honors degree from a recognized university, preferably in the areas of Supply Chain/ Engineering / Economics;
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain with 2-3 years’ experience in people management;
- Experience working with ERP systems.
- Working knowledge of demand and supply planning and/or exports and/or customer service is essential;
- Strong ability for decision making under pressure;
- Good analytical ability to diagnose and creatively resolve problems that arise from time to time.
