Invitation for Pre-Qualification
Nine Heights Ltd, is a property development and consultancy services company operating within Kenya. We are currently involved in projects in excess of Kshs. 1.5 billion within Kenya.
Our client, a large corporate property developer, intends to engage reputable competent building and specialised contractor(s) to undertake building, civil and specialised works at their 5.02 acres land situated in Garden Estate, Nairobi City County.
Prequalification of Building Contractors – GHL/GE/03/2014
The works will include: -
i. Construction of residential/commercial buildings and associated facilities. such as roads, footpaths, landscaping , fence, gates, etc;
ii. Installation and distribution of utilities such as water, sewerage, etc.
To facilitate prequalification, interested building contractors are required to submit the following: -
a. National Construction Authority registration certificate under category “NCA2” or above and current practising licence.
b. Company’s certificate of incorporation.
c. List of names of current directors (CR12 from Registrar of Companies )
d. Statutory certifications (Tax Compliance Certificate, Trade License, VAT, PIN etc)
e. Audited financial statements for the last three (3) years i.e. 2011, 2012 and 2013.
f. Description of similar works undertaken in the last three (3) years (provide a minimum of five (5))
g. List of ongoing projects (Client, Value, Status etc)
h. Demonstration of having human capacity and relevant equipment.
i. A certified declaration of whether contractor has been involved in disputes with previous clients and status of such disputes.
Prequalification of Specialised Contractors – GHL/GE/04/2014
The works will include: -
i. Specialised works associated with construction of residential/commercial buildings e.g. general electrical installations, plumbing and drainage etc;
To facilitate prequalification, interested specialised contractors are required to submit the following: -
a. National Construction Authority registration certificate under category “NCA4” or above and current practising licence from the respective regulatory body.
b. Company’s certificate of incorporation.
c. List of names of current directors (CR12 from Registrar of Companies)
d. Statutory certifications (Tax Compliance Certificate, Trade License, VAT, PIN etc)
e. Audited financial statements for the last three (3) years i.e. 2011, 2012 and 2013.
f. Description of similar works undertaken in the last three (3) years (provide a minimum of five (5))
g. List of ongoing projects (Client, Value, Status etc)
h. Demonstration of having human capacity and relevant equipment.
i. A certified declaration of whether contractor has been involved in disputes with previous clients and status of such disputes.
This prequalification does not constitute a tender. Our client reserves the right to change or cancel the requirements at any time during the pre-qualification and/or tender process.
Submission of a reply to this pre-qualification does not guarantee that such a bidder will be considered for receipt of tender document when issued.
Only contractors deemed qualified upon completion of an objective evaluation of their submissions will receive the tender documents.
The prequalification documents must be submitted in a plain sealed envelope clearly marked with the prequalification number to the address below and be deposited in the pre-qualification box situated on 14th Floor of Pension Towers on or before 12.00 noon 29th October 2014 .
Late submissions will be returned unopened.
Submitted prequalification documents will be opened on the same day Wednesday 29th October 2014 at 12.00 noon at 14th Floor of Pension Towers in the presence of bidders who choose to attend.
NT: The contractors who participated in previous prequalification need not participate in the above two prequalification.
