Our client; a Tours and Safaris Company wishes to recruit an experienced Business Development cum Fleet and Operations Manager whose key responsibilities is to manage daily operation of the company’s Fleet, monitor and respond to emergencies, handle customer needs, service delivery and recovery

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Setting up and maintain existing trips
• Dealing with suppliers, hotels, pilots
• Health and Safety Training in alignment to the companies policy
• Quality Control on all trips
• Managing on-location staff and recruitment and training
• Working with the finance administrator in budget creation
• Monitoring customer feedback and acting upon this
• Event management at selected events
• Guiding if when required
• Networking with tour operators
• Providing travel information to clients
• Managing customer’s issues
• Displaying promotional material
• Preparing quotations
• Booking hotel rooms
• Distributing travel itinerary
• Booking of hotels, lodges and accommodation for clients
• Designing routes for clients
• Constructing fare for the clients
• Advising on vaccinations and necessary permits to foreign companies
• In charge of vehicle servicing, maintenance, documentations, licenses, and allocations
• Schedule vehicles in accordance to itineraries provided
• Ensure vehicle have all necessary documentations and are road worthy
• Allocation of drivers allowance
• Vehicle tracking and reporting

Educations and Requirements

• Bsc or BA degree (Diploma if relevant if with relevant experience in Operations management OR in Tourism and Travel Management)
• For Degree Holders: Not less than 3 years in relevant industry.
• For Diploma Holders: Not less than 5 years in relevant industry.
• High integrity with no Criminal Record
• Self starter and self driven
• Good command of English both Spoken and Written
• Working knowledge of writing reports, memos, business letters etc
• Ability to formulate and enforce the Operations Procedure/Manual among others
• Acquainted with the Kenya Tourist Circuit
• Valid PSV and Driving License with experience of over 5 Years
