Job Summary: The Dean shall be the academic and administrative leader of the School. The Dean shall report to the Vice-Chancellor and shall administer the School in accordance with the policies and rules of the University.
The Dean shall be responsible for and have the authority to provide:
- Education in accordance with the essentials specified by the degree requirements and accreditation standards;
- A scholarly environment to include the support of research and other scholarly activity.
In discharging these responsibilities, the Dean shall:
- Be the academic administrator responsible for the overall operation of the School. The Dean shall have both the authority and responsibility for planning, budgeting, scheduling, personnel matters, curriculum, instruction, development and other academic matters;
- Maintain a liaison with students, staff, faculty, alumni and community, including local, regional, and international legal institutions of higher learning.
Minimum Qualifications:
UNILUS requires candidates with the following qualifications and experience:
- Minimum holder of a Master’s Degree in Law;
- PhD holders/Professors in Law would have an added advantage and are encouraged to apply;
- At least five (5) years experience in lecturing and research within a University environment. Admission to the bar will be an added advantage;
- Membership to professional legal bodies would be further added advantage.

- Able to work with minimum supervision.
