The company seeks to recruit a Financial Accountant and an Accounts Assistant.

1. Financial Accountant

The Financial Accountant will be responsible for financial accounting, reporting and control activities of DTH and integrate them to ensure they are carried out efficiently, effectively and in line with best practice.

Key duties and responsibilities will be:

Group Finance:
·       Reporting (e.g. management accounts)
·       Treasury management
·       Working capital management
·       Cash flow management (including cash flow forecasting)
·       Internal control (development and monitoring of policies and procedures)
Credit Control (retail and subscribers)
·       Establish and maintain credit policies and procedures (for subscriber and retail debtors)
·       Accounts receivable management
·       Bad and doubtful debts handling and hand over for legal collection
Reporting:
·       CFO report for Group board meetings
·       Presentation of monthly management accounts
·       Ad hoc analysis, reports and forecasts for shareholders
Banking and Funding Relationships:
·       Administrative control of all bank accounts
·       Monthly management of financial facilities as well as annual renewals and changes to facilities
·       Regular update and review meetings with all banks
·       Management of transactional banking costs
Audit
·       Audit planning with external auditors
·       Liaison with audit partner and manager including management of audit costs
·       Audit reports and management comment letters
·       Audit committee input
·       Audit reports – implementation of management letter issues
Taxation and tax planning:
·       Tax returns and assessments
·       Group tax planning
·       Tax compliance (direct and indirect taxes)
Corporate Governance:
·       Risk management policy development, monitoring and action planning
·       Compliance against corporate governance policies and procedures
Knowledge, skills and abilities:

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and attributes:
·       Relevant degree in business studies
·       Certified public accountant (CPA-K)
·       At least 5 years working experience
·       Sound knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
·       Experience of managing staff within the Accounts department.
·       Possess Excel modeling skills.
·       Ability to work in a dynamic environment
·       Self driven and requires minimal supervision
2. Accounts Assistant

Will report to the Financial Accountant and will be part of the team responsible for maintaining efficient and accurate Accounting function.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
·       To receive and process all invoices, expense forms and requests for payment.
·       Verify calculations and input codes in to the Accounts system in an accurate manner.
·       To maintain and reconcile payments received from subscribers and channel partners.
·       To deal with daily transactions for the petty cash and ensure that reconciliations are completed on a weekly basis.
·       To ensure all filing is done in a timely and accurate manner.
·       Prepare cheques for payment
Knowledge, skills and Abilities:

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and attributes:
·       Relevant degree in business studies
·       Studying for Certified Public Accountant, at least CPA II
·       At least 2 years working experience
·       Good organizational and administrative skills.
·       Attention to detail
·       Ability to work in a dynamic environment
·       Previous experience in an Accounts office.
·       Strong Microsoft and Excel skills.

Key tasks & responsibilities
The Emergency Project Officer will co-ordinate emergency preparedness and response activities of Caritas Switzerland/Luxembourg.
She/he will
  • Manage emergency preparedness and response activities of Caritas in Eastern Equatoria State;
  • Work closely with the Emergency Coordinator of the Catholic Diocese of Torit in support of its emergency preparedness and response activities;
  • Participate in problem identification, planning and implementation of activities;
  • Oversee emergency activities supported by Caritas through local partners; and support in moni-toring of activities implemented by local partners in the field;
  • Ensure appropriate and timely reporting of achievements and difficulties;
  • Represent Caritas in emergency coordination meetings;
  • Liaise/coordinate with ministries / agencies, local authorities, UN agencies and INGOs on emer-gency issues;
  • Initiate the procurement of emergency items in cooperation with administration;
  • Support proposal development, narrative and financial reporting and ensure the dissemination;
  • Assess jointly with local partners needs arising from emergencies, the outcome of emergency ac-tivities and formulate recommendation for appropriate actions;
  • Share emergency related information with the Chief Delegate and Caritas’ Project Managers;
  • Identify needs for emergency related capacity building of local partners;
  • Provide technical support at all stages of the project implementation;
  • Monitor the implementation of emergency preparedness and response activities initiated / sup-ported by Caritas.
Administration
  • Compilation of monthly reports on use of emergency assets and items and storage situation;
  • Works closely with the Logistician in emergency stock taking, asset tracking and inventory man-agement;
  • Assist Logistician in receiving/issuing of emergency materials (store management).
Qualifications
  • Holder of a degree in management, rural / social development, or emergency mitigation.
  • Familiars with SPHERE-Standards and humanitarian practices in general.
  • Proven record in emergency related work (assessment, planning, implementation, coordination).
  • Computer literate especially in Word and Excel, PowerPoint is an added advantage.
  • At least 3 years experience as emergency work as officer (or equivalent) preferably with INGOs or UN agencies
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Accountable, good interpersonal skills and sensitive to cultural values.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Willingness to work with church institutions
  • Knowledge of and work experience in South Sudan is an advantage.
  • Sudanese National.

  • Ensure that the IIRR Africa information management system is continuously updated and functioning and effectively used in decision making

  • Contribute to the organizational and program/project learning, innovations and capturing of best practices
  • Lead in the design, facilitation and evaluation of the IIRR Africa Participatory Planning Monitoring and Evaluation (PPME) and Outcome Mapping (OM) courses ensuring that the content and delivery methods are well researched, innovative and exceed the expectations of clients
  • Provide backstopping to program functions and IIRR Africa senior management as needed.
Qualifications
  • A Masters’ degree in Economics/Social Sciences/ Development Studies or its equivalent
  • Have outstanding track-record in writing concepts, proposals and reports
  • At least 7 years similar experience in the same capacity
  • Excellent facilitator of a learning and reflection process using a variety of participatory tools
  • Excellent conceptual, analytical and presentation skills
  • Sound understanding of program /project design development and management cycle
  • Have experience in conducting evaluation and research using various tools
  • Excellent interpersonal and team skills
  • Competent in the use of e-mail, internet and statistical packages – SPSS and EPI Info.
