Royal Media Services Limited is seeking to recruit a highly qualified person for the above position. 


The job holder will be responsible for generating online news content of the Company, manage the Company’s Online News platforms as well as create and implement various online news strategies. He/she will provide news stories, features and other news related content to strengthen the Company’s digital platforms.

The Digital Sub Editor’s role will include the following:-
  • Aid in generating news stories for all digital platforms;
  • Manage the daily running of the news desk
  • Assign various duties to online reporters
  • Proof-read copy
  • Manage breaking news on all digital News platforms;
  • Ensure moderation of comments on all Online News platforms
  • Promote prime time TV news on Social Media
  • Monitor news-based content & feedback on social media

Academic and Professional Experience
  • University Graduate in Communication or another related field from a recognized University.

Human Resources Officer
 

Reporting to General Manager - HR

Main Purpose of the Job: To administer the Company payroll and ensure accurate, timeous and effective payment of salaries, benefits, and statutory returns to ensure policy compliance and support query resolution.
Key Responsibilities

  • To process payroll information received from various stakeholders in accordance with Company policies, procedures and legislation and within agreed deadlines.
  • To perform quality checks to ensure accurate processing of information.
  • To support and resolve queries relating to payroll and policy interpretation.
  • To complete and submit Third Party documentation and directives in support of staff claims and confirm employment details to Third Parties on request.
  • To distribute payroll documentation to relevant stakeholders that cannot access documents through employee self-service.
  • To manage electronic staff records by capturing and recording document types and maintain accurate documentation and updated staff records including organograms, performance appraisal documentations, leave liability and skills inventory records to help in decision making
  • To review and reconcile payroll accounts to ensure accounts balance.
  • Processing of all staff benefits, payroll payments and staff loans and to ensure appropriate deductions.
  • Creation and maintenance of staff data in SAP, Memorysoft payroll systems and To perform lifecycle management in respect to changes in  employee details
  • To provide relevant monthly people data to facilitate relevant business decisions.
  • Participate in staff recruitment, training and development and assist in ensuring good employee relations.
Requirements

Education
  • Degree in a business field or Social sciences 
  • Higher Diploma in Human Resources Management
  • Must be a member of IHRM
Experience and Knowledge
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a Payroll environment, Tax and Labour legislation exposure
  • Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, systems, legislation
  • Knowledge of relevant payroll system e.g. SAP, Memorysoft 
  • Computer literacy & MS Office
  • HCM business Systems

The jobholder will provide support to the Human Resources Director in strategic and overall guidance on all human resource issues in the Company and ensure proper staff management and talent management for the achievement of company goals. 

They shall be involved in cross cutting human resource issues and be hands on in the implementation of the human resources strategy.

The Human Resources Manager’s role will include the following:
  • Maintaining the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
  • Maintaining human resource staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
  • Ensuring proper placement of staff and support in the boarding process.
  • Assisting the HR Director in managing employee benefits programs and informing employees on such benefits.
  • Assisting the HR Director in maintaining management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.
  • Assist in grievance handling and disciplinary procedures.
  • Advising staff on work related processes including leave management, staff medicals, and other staff welfare issues.
