Maua Methodist Hospital invites applications from competent and qualified candidates for the following positions:-

1. Human Resource Manager

Qualifications and experience

Applicants should possess the following:-

 

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences from a recognized University and Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management.
• Minimum of five (5) years relevant experience gained in a progressive organization with increased level of responsibility.
• Should be a team player and possess excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
• Must have excellent knowledge and understanding of labour laws.

Key responsibilities:-

The successful applicant will be in charge of the Human Resource section

• Coordinating the performance appraisal process and recommending appropriate interaction.
• Advise the senior management team on Human Resource policies and procedures that support the business, assist in their implementation and manage the Human Resource functions.
• Design and develop policies and procedures to ensure that the hospital compensation, benefits, terms and conditions of employment are sufficient to attract, motivate and retain the required number of staff in the right calibre and are cost effective.
• To develop and implement strategies to improve operations and service delivery by providing advice and guidance on all aspects with the aim of having employees who are prepared for the change and developing structures that help to achieve the hospital objectives.
• Develop tools for measuring and reporting continuous improvement of the hospital performance.
• In liaison with management team, improve on governance and management practices of the hospital.

2. Bio-Medical Technologist

Qualifications and experience

• Diploma in Bio-Medical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• At least three (3) years of experience in the maintenance of medical equipment such as X-ray machines, theatre equipment, oxygen plant, laundry machines, Generators and mortuary refrigerated machines among others.
• Higher National Diploma in Bio-Medical Engineering will be an added advantage.

Specific duties will include the following:-

• To head and lead a team of maintenance staff in the hospital.
• To prepare maintenance schedules and repairs of various medical equipment and other machines within the hospital.
• To prepare duty rotas for staff working in the maintenance unit.
• To ensure that all medical equipment and other machines that aid in the delivery of healthcare services are in good working condition to avoid interruption of patient care.
• To carryout maintenance work of medical equipment, tools and other machines within the hospital.
• To ensure that all hospital infrastructure are well maintained, and necessary repairs are carried out in good time to avoid interruption of services to patients.
• Any other duties assigned by your supervisor.
