1. The United States Embassy – The President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) has a vacancy for Public Health Specialist - Strategic Information Advisor in Nairobi.
The President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR)-Kenya Strategic Information Advisor will provide high-quality technical assistance to the United States Government (USG) PEPFAR country team and technical workgroups, implementing partners, and Government of Kenya counterparts to ensure that the portfolio of program activities contributes to the national HIV/AIDS strategic goals and targets.
The incumbent will generate accurate data analyses and reports to inform national policy, and respond to the Office of the Global AIDS Coordinator (OGAC) reporting requirements.

Requirements:
- Masters degree in public health, epidemiology, social or behavioral sciences, or related field is required.
- A total of five years work experience managing public health or other social sector programs – i.e., three years managing an HIV/AIDS program, ideally in sub-Saharan Africa and two years related to monitoring and evaluation of HIV/AIDS and/or health programs.
- Experience working in close collaboration with high-level government and other counterparts required.
- Level 4 (fluent) English is required.
- Thorough understanding of USG process, procedures and polices related to the PEPFAR initiative; Government of Kenya’s policies and guidelines on HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment; Epidemiology of HIV/AIDS in Kenya; USG/PEPFAR program activities on HIV/AIDS.
- Must have strong computer skills and ability to analyze data and produce well written reports and presentations using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access.
