The post holder will also manage the IIRR Africa website information and supervise the publications process.

Job summary
To contribute to IIRR work in documentation and communication of development learning and in the production of information, education and communication (IEC) materials for field development programs.
The post holder will also manage the IIRR Africa website information and supervise the publications process.
Job Description of main duties:
- Collect, collate and analyze data useful in documenting learning experiences from the IIRR Learning Community Program to be used for IIRR information materials/publications in the region.
- Coordinate editing and production of various documents from workshops, seminars, writeshops, and conferences organized by IIRR and partners
- Play a lead role in preparing and disseminating a range of public information materials including newsletters, annual reports, brochures, flyers and website content
- Maintain high editing and production of all external and internal documents
- Providing appropriate guidance/support to consultants and staff in designing and production of IIRR training and communication materials.
Person
specifications
- Preferably a Masters Degree in development communication, documentation and/or journalism or related field.
- At least three (5) years writing, editing, writing and documentation experience from a reputable organization. Development organization would be an added advantage.
- Good computer skills especially in website management, and desktop publishing.
- Originality, innovation and creativity in design and packaging of information for communication
- Ability to work calmly under pressure and to beat deadlines.
- Facilitation/training skills.
