Roles and responsibilities
- Attending initial sales meetings and meeting the client.
- determining what their business requirements are, whether the products or services being considered are suitable.
- Decide whether the software or hardware needs adapting to meet the client's needs.
- answering any technical questions the client might have.
- Presenting your findings to a technical team to act on, and then to the client
Skills
required
- Excellent selling skills
- Excellent technical knowledge, and a keen interest in IT issues
- Initiative
- Presentation skills
- The ability to interpret technical language for non-technical people
- The ability to write reports and proposals
- The capacity to work well on your own or in a team
- Negotiating skills
- The ability to manage your time and plan your day effectively
Requirements
- A diploma in information technology.
- Qualifications in sales and marketing or a related field an added advantage.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position with proven sales skills.
- Sales background where products or services sold have been ‘hard sell’.
- Ability to network, communicate comfortably
- Ability to work independently, solve problems to achieve desired results.
