Livelihoods and Disaster Risk Reduction Officer
Ref: LDRRO/09/2011
Based in Garissa
Reporting to the Country Project and Advocacy Manager, the position will lead
in developing and facilitating community based climate change adaptation in
rural communities targeted by the Country Project.
The incumbent will take the lead in facilitating participatory,
gender-sensitive analysis of vulnerability at community level and collaborate
with project partners and other Country Project Team members to synthesize,
analyze and validate information.
She/he will also take a lead in supervising and engaging the local implementing
partner organizations.
Project Wash Engineer
Ref: PWE/09/2011
Based in Moyale
Reporting to the Senior Engineer (TBC), the Project Wash Engineer shall be
directly in charge of the technical activities especially the components
dealing with water infrastructure and sanitation for the Emergency Drought
Response in the North Eastern.
Though based in Moyale and under the DFID budget, the person will provide
assistance to activities in other parts of the North Eastern.
The position covers activities targeting rural poor communities in arid and
semi-arid zones whose water systems or infrastructure are in dire need of
rehabilitation and addresses sanitation needs.
