Nuru
International is accepting applications for a Monitoring and Evaluation Fellow
to support field staff working in Education, Agriculture, Health, Economic
Development, Water/Sanitation, and Leadership.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

- Manage data collection and metrics
- Provide technical assistance on proper data collection.
- Develop and field-test data collection tools.
- Assist with maintenance and refinement of logic models, resulting program metrics, and data collection plans.
- Train staff on program metrics.
- Oversee local Nuru census data collection, if necessary.
- Assist with data collection.
- Assist with data-driven decision-making.
- Perform data analysis for use by field staff.
- Provide data in a format for ease of use.
- Continue development of a robust data collection and storage system, possibly a mobile-phone based system.
- Make recommendations on long-term solutions.
- If necessary, maintain interim solution.
- Provide necessary training to staff.
- Manage and coach Kenyan M&E staff.
- Act as M&E Liaison to Nuru field staff.
- Provide field perspective on M&E strategy and plans.
- Manage collection of weekly Nuru Operational Updates from field staff.
- Conduct special projects and general administrative duties as assigned.
Specific
Skills and Attributes (additional to the General Requirements for the Nuru
Fellows Program):
- Graduate degree (either MA or MBA) or undergrad within 2-3 years of work/ volunteer experience.
- Ability to do crisis management and rapid, innovative problem solving in uncertain environments.
