Community Development initiatives seeks to recruit Dynamic and Experienced
persons to the positions below.
1. Child Centered Community Development Program Officer - Nairobi
Qualifications

Qualifications
- University Degree in Social work / Community Development / Business Administration / rural development, or another relevant technical area.
- Five (5) years minimum experience working in child focused development-related programs. Experience in working with an international NGO preferred.
- Preferably experience with child sponsorship programming and community development.
- Fluency in Swahili and a good working knowledge of English (both spoken and written).
- Program management knowledge and skills. Good organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to work alone and as an effective team member. Good leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Well-developed computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets and data analysis. Skills in data/information management.
- High standards of personal conduct and respect for the customs and cultures of all people in the work environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to and skill in working with rural communities, and encouraging community involvement and ownership.
Duties
and Responsibilities
- Facilitate identification of new project sites, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the Programs.
- Have a thorough understanding of the CCCD approach, Child Ambassador Model and Sponsor Relations policy documents and transfer this knowledge to program staff.
- Facilitate training to Program staff and other stakeholders involved in the implementation of the Program in consultation with the Head of programs /CEO.
- Prepare Program Plans, reports, budget and cashflow forecasts
- Provide supervision on a day to day basis to the implementation of project activities.
- Contribute to the development of AIC operational and program-related policies and guidelines, as appropriate.
2. Program Manager / Coordinator – Technical Vocational Education
and Training Program

Key Qualification
- Bachelors Degree in Business studies / Social sciences, Education Administration, Development studies or other related field. A master’s degree in will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 8 years experience in Youth Empowerment and Development or Working with an NGO dealing with Youth Technical Education will be an added advantage
- Must be Conversant with TIVET Policy framework in Kenya
Duties
and Responsibilities;
- Overall coordination of TVET Program
- Prepare Program Plans, reports, budget and cashflow forecasts
- Supervision of staff and day to day implementation of program activities
- Assessment and facilitation of program staff capacity needs
- Facilitation of relevant linkages at the national level
- Participate in identification of new projects and proposal development
- Facilitate relevant linkages related to Youth Training and Development
- Provide technical oversight and monitor program activities in the field
Personal
Profile and required Skills
- Ability to work independently in policy interpretation and implementation
- Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationship with Donor agencies
- Good understanding of financial management , strategic planning and project cycle management
- Good Computer skills and Administrative skills
- Ability to initiate collaboration with relevant industry players
- Excellent networking and marketing skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal Skills
- Willingness to travel frequently in country, as required.
- Born again Christian
