Merlin
is an International Non-Governmental Organization providing healthcare to
populations in crises. Merlin addresses needs within the realms of infectious
disease control, primary and secondary healthcare and maternal and child
healthcare.
We are currently seeking a Grants Coordinator for our Kenya / Somalia programme.
The post holder will be required to strengthen adherence to contracts and donor requirements by providing teams with the required technical support, guidance and training to ensure all Merlin Kenya/Somalia projects are donor compliant.
Overall responsibility for the development and management of all grants, with pro-active engagement in programme development and strategy discussions. Act as focal point for grants management (budgeting/reporting/audit), increase field team’s grant management capacity, understanding of donor compliance and budget management through targeted training of field staff at each project location.

Ideal candidates will be required to have:
- Degree or qualification in related field - preferably accounting and finance, auditing, business administration
- At least 2 years experience of grant management and donor compliance in an INGO
- Experience of managing the key donors’ i.e. global fund, USAID, EC, DEC, DFID, OFDA
- Strong communication skills, with excellent written and spoken English
- Ability to multi task and work on own initiative
- Confident and proficient in the use of MS Office
