AMS is currently looking for a qualified and experienced mechanical engineer to:
The company currently operates 5 core-drilling rigs, and a fleet of various vehicles, mainly located at project sites in Kenya and East Africa.
AMS is currently looking for a qualified and experienced mechanical engineer to:
- Plan and manage the maintenance and repairs of the machines and vehicles;
- Supervise and train the company’s mechanics;
- Rapidly resolve breakdowns;
- Ensure maximum availability of drilling rigs and vehicles;
- Manage spares, consumables and tools (inventory and procurement)
- Identify, recommend and manage external resources where necessary.
The
suitable candidate will have the following qualities:
- Excellent planning and management skills;
- Good communication skills;
- IT literate;
- Superior problem solving and diagnosing skills;
- Ability to find rapidly necessary information;
- Hands on, lead by example.
Qualification
and experience:
- BSc Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- 10 years experience in fleet / maintenance management.
- Experience in diesel engines and a hydraulic system is mandatory.
- Experience in petrol engines, auto-electrics an added advantage.
