IT Specialist (Databases)
Location: Nairobi, Kenya
Status: Consultant
Position Summary:
The IT Specialist is required for a period of up to two months and will be based in Nairobi, Kenya.
Reporting to the IFES Chief of Party (or designee), but will be embedded within the Independent Elections and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
The consultant will support the IEBC Operations team in building a reporting system for their regional offices.

Position Summary:

Responsibilities:
- Collect requirements about the sets of datasets that the Operations department needs to be sourced from the field offices;
- Create a format and procedure for the data entry of these datasets
- With the guidance from an International consultant, develop an intranet portal for storing and presenting the above sets of information that is flexible enough for these datasets and others;
- Train IT staff on the use and maintenance of portal;
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree required in Computer Science or related field;
- Candidates should possess at least six years of progressively responsible relevant professional experience in intranet application development (ASP.NET), advanced knowledge in SQL Server
