The Mater Hospital ICU Coordinator Job Vacancy in Kenya

We are seeking a self-driven individual with good planning and good interpersonal skills.

The successful candidate must have ability to think quickly, adapt to emergency situations and make decisions under pressure.

A good team leader, effective mentor and keeps the team motivated especially under pressure.

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee provision of care to critically ill patients admitted in the unit
• Teach, Supervise and provide leadership to junior doctors including performance management
• Provide emergency support to ensure timely and optimal delivery of quality patient care
• Offer clinical support during emergencies including resuscitation
• Read, analyze and interpret patient’s reports and discuss the same with consulting doctors for effective management and care of the patients
• Liaise with consultants in the management of their patients at the Unit

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Must be registered with the MPDB and have a current valid practicing license.
• Practicing Medical Doctor with Post graduate qualifications in Anesthesiology, Internal Medicine and/or Critical care medicine will be an added advantage.
• A minimum of 2 years working experience in Intensive Care Unit.
