Based in Nairobi, Kenya, the Compliance Officer will work closely with the Financial Controller of CMMB-Kenya in management of the Kenya office programs.

Based in Nairobi, Kenya, the Compliance Officer will work closely with the Financial Controller of CMMB-Kenya in management of the Kenya office programs.
The officer will also work closely with
the local partners as well as coordination and communication between functions
within the Kenya office.
The CO will report to the FC and will
serve as a member of the in-country finance team.
This position's primary responsibility
is ensuring compliance with donor and organizational policies for CMMB.
Working with the finance team and
closely with the local partners, the position also contributes to the
development and implementation of organizational policies and practices.
He/she will be actively involved in
grants management, assessments and close out processes.
The
CO will implement all guidelines and policies with the purpose of ensuring
compliance with all government regulations and compliance with CMMB internal
practices and controls, as well as maintaining alignment with the
organization's mission.

Monitoring & Evaluation Officer - REF:2012/04/002
Based in Nairobi, the Monitoring and Evaluation specialist will work closely with the program and finance departments to support CMMB Kenya programs.
He/she will be responsible for the monitoring and evaluation of the projects funded through the various donors and track progress towards achieving the project objectives.
The main responsibilities of the position include: the development of monitoring and evaluation systems and of processes and tools; provision of training and technical assistance to participating partners; monitoring and support to the implementation of the clinical management information system developed for the projects.

Finance Assistant - Ref:2012/04/003
Department: Finance
Location: Nairobi, Kenya
Objective: The Finance Assistant will work closely with Senior Finance officer and Finance &
Compliance Officer.
Reports to: Financial Controller
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receiving and reviewing LPTFs monthly financial reports for compliance with donor requirements
- Financial liquidations and analysis of the assigned LPTFs
- Preparing payment vouchers for payments and initiating payments for approval
- Check LPTFs bank reconciliations
- Capturing payments online i.e. Electronic Funds Transfers (EFTs)
- Making MIP entries for the assigned LPTFs monthly financial report
- Preparing and submission of VAT refunds (DA1 forms) and following the suppliers for the refunds
- Maintaining and updating the asset register and inventory files
- Assist in program implementation activities as needed
Critical
Abilities and skills
- Attention to detail and be able to work under stressful work situations and deadlines
- Team player
- Ability to undertake domestic travel
- Commitment to CMMB values, vision, mission and strategic plan
- Computer literacy a must
- Must have previous experience in working with accounting packages
- Knowledge of Sage-MIP will be an added advantage
- Good analytical and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
and experience
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in business related field and CPA1
- A minimum of 2 years working experience in finance and accounts department
- Knowledge of donor practices and USG accounting requirements
