Sales Executive – Logistics (Nairobi Kenya)

Responsibilities:

 
The Sales Executive will responsible for obtaining competitive freight rates for ocean/sea/land globally. 

Rates are obtained mainly through email and phone and must be provided to the customer within minimal time frame.
 
Additional Duties Include:
  • Monthly sales reports
  • Gather and organize data sheets
  • Complete shipment reports
  • Coordinate with shipper/consignee, other agents and carriers in planning shipments
  • Monitor shipments and ensure flawless delivery
Experience:
  • Previous experience in International Logistics required
  • Experience working in an office environment
  • Experience in Customer Service
  • Negotiation experience is preferred
Abilities:
  • Excellent organizational skills (email/electronic documentation)
  • Manage Time effectively/efficiently/independently
  • Able to multi-task and adjust to changing priorities under pressure
  • Be able to work independently or as a team
Knowledge:
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft office
  • Knowledge of Logistics
  • Email knowledge is a must (outlook/thunderbird/etc.)
Reputation
  • Must have good reputation among clients and previous employer
  • Must be entertainer and good with PR
Records - Must have proven records in Sales
 
Logistic knowledge must
 
Minimum Sales Experience 4 years required in logistic related or similar
