Turnkey Supply and Installation of Solar Power Systems and Supply of Solar Lanterns for Primary Schools in Hagadera and Kambi Oos Refugee Camps, Dadaab
The Lutheran World Federation Department for World Service (LWF/DWS) Kenya Programme coordinates emergency, relief, recovery and rehabilitation operations in Kakuma and Dadaab refugee camps and implements a development program in Turkana West district.

LWF/DWS would like to install solar PV systems in primary schools in the Hagadera refugee camp in Dadaab and also to distribute solar lanterns to school children.
 

The project will consist of installing solar PV systems in 6 primary schools in Hagadera (Umoja, Amani, Undugu, Iftin, Upendo and Central) and supplying 700 solar lanterns for primary school students in Hagadera.
 

The scope of supply further comprises transport of the goods to the site for installation, all necessary installation work and commissioning of the systems. 

The total installed PV power will be about 12.4kWp. It is expected that the systems shall be commissioned in November 2012.
 

The Lutheran World Federation Department for World Service (LWF/DWS) Kenya Programme now
invites sealed bids for the supply and install contract. 

Procurement will be according to a procedure with negotiations based on submitted bids.

A detailed TOR can be collected from LWF reception on the address below from 20th – 24th August 2012 on payment of a non refundable fee of Ksh 2,000.
 

No bid security will be required, but the successful bidder will have to provide a performance security.
 

Offers must be dropped in the tender box at the LWF/DWS main reception as per the address above. 

Offers submitted after 10.00am Thursday 13th September will not be accepted. Bids shall be opened in the presence of the bidders who wish to participate at 10.30am.
