Regional Management Unit is offering a learning opportunity at regional level,
and is seeking for vibrant and dynamic person to be their
Regional Program Support Officer
Based
in Nairobi, CARE International Regional Management Unit (RMU) is coordinating
for 10 countries in East & Central Africa Region. CARE and its partners
work with vulnerable communities to address the underlying causes of poverty
and promote peace and development, through its strategic goal to reduce poverty
as well as mitigating immediate emergency situation by empowering women,
enhancing access to resources and services, and improving governance.
As
part of the East and Central Africa Regional Management Unit (ECARMU), the
Regional Program Support Officer role provides support in the Regional
Management Unit as well as the Deputy Regional Director Program Support.
The
role will lead on coordinating the daily functioning of the RMU Office: provide
effective administration & procurement support and coordinate RMU processes
with Somalia Finance & Program support teams as well as RMU document
management.
He/she
will also ensure high quality contribution in the RMU financial management
processes; budgeting and expenditure management. He/she will be in charge of
providing communication support for the RMU and liaison with HQ and Shared
Services Centre on RMU related processes.
He/she
also supports the DRD – Program Support in providing CO’s support on Program
Support issues
in line with CARE policies.

This
position requires constant interaction with RMU, CARE International (CI) and
Country Offices (CO’s) to resolve a variety of complex issues in order to meet
the growing needs of the organization.
Person specification
- University Degree in finance, administration or equivalent.
- 5 - 7 Years Experience in finance and office management (or administration).
- Experienced in managing regional office of International Organization.
- Budget analysis and financial management, knowledge of MS Office and willingness to learn and use of accounting packages as well as good learning ability.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with diverse group of people; advance written communication; ability to use information to track administrative & financial support.
This
position reports to Deputy Regional Director Program Support; based in Nairobi
with limited travel
to Country Offices.
