Deputy Head of Business Development

This position reports to the Head of Business Development. 
The candidate will be responsible for assisting the HBD in managing and supervising the team in the department, heavy involvement in business development & growth and focus on development of new market-driven products.

Purpose of the Position
  • Assist the Divisional Director with the leadership of the division
  • Spearhead all business development initiatives in the division
  • Assist in the implementation of the strategic business development plan
  • Manage Public Insurance Tenders
  • Spearheading and rising the Company’s profile through various activities and events – in liaison with the PR division
  • Spearhead cross selling among operating divisions
Qualifications & Competencies
  • University Degree in Business Related Studies
  • Must have a minimum of 10 years relevant working experience
  • Pursuing insurance professional exams at an advanced level / fully qualified
  • Solid technical experience of various insurance policies
  • High professional ethical standing
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to grow the business through new business / portfolio growth
Assistant Manager - Business Development
 
Ref: HR/CRE/07/2013
 
This position reports to the Deputy Head of Business Development.
 
Purpose of the Position
  • Preparation of tender documents
  • Business development in all lines of insurance
  • Assist in cross-selling initiatives across the divisions
Qualifications & Competencies
  • University Degree in Business Related Studies
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years relevant working experience
  • Pursuing insurance professional qualifications
  • Solid technical experience of various insurance policies
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
