The Kenya Investment Authority (KenInvest), whose mandate is to promote and facilitate both Domestic and Foreign investments in Kenya, seeks to recruit suitable candidates for the following position:-

Job Title: Project Analyst Officer (s)
 

Reports to: Manager, Investor Services (Project Analysis)
 

Division / Section / Unit: Investor Services
 

Responsible for:

• Interns
• Temporal staff

Location: Head Office Nairobi and Mombasa Regional Office
 

Job Purpose: To facilitate the approval and implementation of projects.
 

Roles and Responsibilities    

• Appraising projects for approvals and licenses;
• Facilitating acquisition of required approvals, licenses, permits and other authorizations from relevant authorities;
• Facilitating connection of new investments to basic services and utilities;
• Preparing new projects for the issue of Investment Certificate; and
• Performing any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Job Specification:
 

Education and Qualifications:    

• A minimum of a Degree from an accredited University with an emphasis in Economics and/or Business Studies or in a related field.

Skills and Experience:    

• Minimum of 3 years Knowledge in project management, identification, selection, appraisal, implementation, monitoring & evaluation.
• Conversant with Government economic recovery programmes and economic integration initiatives (EAC, COMESA, WTO, EU, AGOA, NEPAD, etc).
• International exposure in related field.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Computer literacy.
• Team player.

Key Performance Indicators   

• Number of Projects approved and licensed.
• Average period taken to approve each project.
• Actual number of investments realized.
• Investor Feedback
