Our client, a leading Distributor, Wholesaler and Retailer of healthy nutritional supplements and products in the East African region seeks to recruit Retail Shop Managers to oversee the management of the outlets and discuss sales, marketing and other strategies together with the Retail Operations Manager
Key Tasks and ResponsibilitiesOur client, a leading Distributor, Wholesaler and Retailer of healthy nutritional supplements and products in the East African region seeks to recruit Retail Shop Managers to oversee the management of the outlets and discuss sales, marketing and other strategies together with the Retail Operations Manager
- Manage and motivate staff, according to company policies and employment laws and ensure relevant HR Procedures are followed (appraisals, discipline, grievance, etc.)
- Plan and implement advertising and promotional strategy and activities in liaison with PR & marketing Department.
- Plan and implement shop merchandising, layout and customer traffic flow so as to maximize sales, customer
- Manage selling, customer service activities, and staff competence in these areas, so as to optimize sales
- Manage costs, overheads and all factors affecting the profitable performance of the shop.
- Liaise with and utilize support from suppliers, merchandisers and other partners as required.
- Manage, maintain and report as necessary all merchandise and non-merchandise stock.
- List all customer requests and complaints on a daily basis and forward the reports to the Head Office.
- Place orders and ensure no stock out occurs. However, in the event of stock outs, reports will be generated and forwarded to the Head Office.
Skills and Qualifications
- Degree\ Diploma in Purchasing and Supplies or any other related field.
- At least 3-5 years of working experience
- Well developed technical skills in the following areas
- Customer Care and Selling
- Merchandising
- Stock Management
- Product Knowledge
- Security
- Outstanding Financial management
- Planning, organizing and prioritizing
- Training and development skills
- Personnel management experience
- Problem analysis and decision making
