Background: The Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA) is a not-for-profit organization working with African governments, donors, NGOs, the private sector, and African farmers to significantly and sustainably improve the productivity and incomes of resource poor smallholder farmers (SHFs) in Africa.
AGRA’s mission is to trigger a uniquely African Green Revolution that transforms agriculture into a highly productive, efficient, competitive and sustainable system to assure food security and lift millions out of poverty.
AGRA’s work across the food value chain facilitates and supports government and private sector efforts to improve the productivity of the food staples.
AGRA currently has a total staff population of 142 in 11 countries across the African Continent.
AGRA would like to engage a qualified consultant or consultancy firm to conduct an evaluation and analysis of the organization with the aim of developing a corporate Business Continuity Plan (BCP) covering all of AGRA’s functional areas, and incorporating an Emergency Response Program (ERP) and a Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP).
Need for a Plan
AGRA’s management recognizes the need to be prepared for unforeseen events that may negatively impact on the organization’s business continuity and has identified the need to develop a BCP, a DRP and an ERP to guide in the implementation of adequate mitigating controls.
