Position Summary: The overall in charge of the nursing department. She/he ensures all nursing and nursing support staff adheres to providing quality services to the clients as well as provides administrative support to the department.

Responsibilities
- In charge of professional nursing services in the facility, laundry, catering and housekeeping departments
- Ensure that all professional staffs are registered and or retained in their relevant register licensing body
- Provide professional nursing attention to clients
- Supervise all nursing activities and ensure all nursing staff adheres to professionalism
- Participate in recruitment of staff
- Develop and annually review the nursing services procedure manual of the hospital
- Assist in administrative work
- Represent the organization in collaborative meetings
- Facilitate the inspection of organization’s medical resources
- Monitor all medical records to ensure they are well kept and up to date
- Approve documents as is delegated by the Medical Director
- Develop working timetables for all nursing staff
- Responsible to Medical Director
- Any other duties assigned by the supervisor
Minimum qualifications & experience required
- Must be fully licensed by the Nursing Council of Kenya
- Experience of 2 years and above in a busy government/private hospital
- Basic administrative knowledge and management capabilities
- Good interpersonal and team building skills
- Networking and PR skills
- Strong intellectual, analytic and decision making abilities
- Good report writing and communication skills
- Any other qualifications in Management will be an added advantage
