Our client a leading interior design and furniture & fittings company seeking to hire a Quantity Surveyor. 

The main role is to manages all costs relating to interior design and furnishing projects they handle

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

• Preparing estimates and costs of the projects
• Preparation of tender and contract documents including Bill of Quantities
• Preparing and analyzing costing for tenders
• Processing and submission of ‘Requests for Proposals’, ‘Expression of Interest’ and ‘Interest to Bid’
• Participating in establishing client’s requirements and undertaking feasibility studies
• Performing risk, value management and cost control for any project
• Material and labor estimation
• Evaluating and reporting on contractual claims from contractors
• Monitoring each stage of the projects to make sure that costs are in line with forecasts
• Checking to ensure that materials and equipment meet contract specifications and the ordered quantities meet with project estimations and budgets
• Checking valuations for payment to contractors
• Providing leads to new businesses opportunities
• Any other duties that may be assigned by the Management

Qualifications & Skills

• Degree or diploma level qualification
• Minimum 3 years experience in a similar capacity
• Experience of working with contractors and subcontractors
• Must be an experienced Quantity Surveyor with good contract knowledge
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and proper documentation

• Be able to develop contract documents and managing contractual arrangements
• Project progress evaluation for payment to contractors
• Invoicing
• Negotiation skills
• Good presentation skills
• Confidentiality and high integrity
• Ability to work with minimum Supervision
• Excellent communication skills at all levels, both internally and externally
• Time management to meet deadlines
