National Bank, one of the leading banks with the vision of becoming the Bank of choice in the provision of financial services in the region, is seeking to strengthen its corporate banking business by identifying a top level corporate and institutional banker.
Reporting to the Managing Director & CEO, the successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic leadership and management of the bank’s corporate and institutional banking, whilst nurturing and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Main Responsibilities
- Offer strategic leadership and direction of the Bank’s corporate business in line with the overall strategic intentions and business plans.
- Grow corporate clients and revenue base through formulation and marketing of appropriate financial solutions to corporate, institutional and selected SME clients.
- Lead and manage the teams operating in the Corporate Units while ensuring adequate and relevant training, leadership development and performance management of the staff
- Proactively lead acquisition and development of long term client relationships within the market in order to achieve excellence in customer service and customer loyalty.
- Continuously evaluate and cross-sell financial solutions to clients in order to maximize profitability, while ensuring that all the risk management principles are being adhered to at all times.
- Foster strong and robust relationships with all the key stakeholders of the Bank including but not limited to shareholders, customers, regulators and the community at large.
Key qualification, experience and attributes
- University Degree from a recognized institution. A post-graduate degree or professional qualification in a related field will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience ¡n Relationship Management and at least 5 years’ experience in a senior position with a proven record of successfully managing and growing a portfolio of Corporate and Institutional Banking clients.
- Extensive and thorough knowledge of the financial services dynamics as well as specific knowledge of banking products, services, credit processes with risk and financial skills
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to manage strategy, change, diversity, financial performance, productivity, championing customer focus, and in managing people in a multi-cultural environment.
- Ability to be innovative in identifying and harnessing new and existing opportunities to maximize This is a senior executive position that will attract a competitive compensation package.
