The Unclaimed Financial Assets Authority (UFAA) is a State Corporation established under the National Treasury pursuant to the Unclaimed Financial Assets Act No. 40 of 2011.
The primary mandate of the Authority is to obtain unclaimed financial assets from the holders of such assets on behalf of the Government, safeguard and re-unite the assets with their rightful owners.
UFAA would like to invite applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following position:

Job Profile
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer, will be responsible for:,
- Providing visionary leadership and direction to the Authority and ensuring that the Authority’s mandates and policies are implemented fully and effectively in line with the strategic plan
- Developing and implementing strategies for receiving, retaining, and reuniting unclaimed financial assets with their genuine owners or beneficiaries
- Ensuring prudent management of resources for the achievement of the Authority’s mandate and strategic objectives
- Establishing and sustaining effective relationships with the Board of Directors, the Government, the parent Ministry, and other stakeholders
- Promoting a culture of compliance with regulations, statutory requirements, good corporate governance principles and best practices in the Authority
- Acting as the Managing Trustee of the Unclaimed Financial Assets Trust Fund and the Authority’s spokesperson
Person Profile
- Holder of a degree in Business, Economics, Finance or any other related field from a University recognized by the Commission for University Education
- Master’s degree in business administration, economics, finance, strategic management, or related fields
- At least 15 years work experience, 5 of which must be at top management level
- Proficiency in MS Office computer packages. Proficiency in fund administration software systems will be an added advantage
- A member of a professional body
- Experience in financial management will be an added advantage
Terms and Conditions
- Successful candidates for the above positions will be offered a competitive remuneration package.
- Appointments will be for a contractual period of four (4) years renewable subject to satisfactory performance.
- All applicants should attach the following documents with their applications: clearance certificates from Kenya Revenue Authority, Higher Education Loans Board, Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission, and a certificate of good conduct from the Criminal Investigations Departments.
