The Unclaimed Financial Assets Authority (UFAA) is a State Corporation established under the National Treasury pursuant to the Unclaimed Financial Assets Act No. 40 of 2011.
The primary mandate of the Authority is to obtain unclaimed financial assets from the holders of such assets on behalf of the Government, safeguard and re-unite the assets with their rightful owners.
UFAA would like to invite applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following position:

Job Profile
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, s/he will be responsible for:
- Supporting the Authority in its key activities including receiving, holding, investing and disbursing unclaimed financial assets
- Ensuring that holders of unclaimed financial assets surrender them to the Authority
- Carrying out inspection of unclaimed financial assets to ensure accurate reporting
- Ensuring that all relevant information on unclaimed financial assets is submitted to the Authority and maintained in the database
- Locating and notifying owners of the unclaimed financial assets
- Assuming custody, on behalf of the Authority, the rights of unclaimed financial assets holder
- Assisting the in the management of the Trust Fund
- Assisting with the implementation of unclaimed financial assets policies and procedures
Person Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Law, Economics, Finance or any other relevant field from a University recognized by the Commission for University Education
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, or any other related field
- At least 7 years work experience on unclaimed financial assets especially on auditing or inspection of unclaimed assets
- Knowledge and/or experience in fund management will be an added advantage
- Membership to a professional body
- Computer skills, especially ¡n computer auditing techniques, and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint. Proficiency in fund administration software systems will be an added advantage
Terms and Conditions
- Successful candidates for the above positions will be offered a competitive remuneration package.
- Appointments will be for a contractual period of four (4) years renewable subject to satisfactory performance.
